Through the crowd she see's him. The hot sun highlights his features and she smiles a smile only they can understand. The white shirt he's wearing emphasizes the bronze tan he's gotten while they have been here. She runs her finger around the rim of her wine glass as she remembers their expedition.
Hiking through all the dense brush was not her idea of a great date, let alone a great weekend. Stumbling over a loose vine she finds herself flat on her back. She's had it - she wants to go back. Just as she's ready to voice her adamant demand to return, he's standing above her. Standing there looking so damned marvellous. All it took was that one moment and her resolve was gone.
She takes the hand offered to her, gets up and dusts herself off. He wraps his arms around her and she melts within him.
"I'm sorry" he says "Guess it's a bit more rugged then I thought it would be.
"That's ok, I should have worn the proper shoes" she says as she looks down to her sandals feeling a bit stupid.
"I can carry you, it's not that far"
"No, it's too rugged, you'll end up breaking both our necks" she smiles to him.
He takes her hand and leads the way through more overgrown foliage. Just as they were going over another hill and she had yet again had enough, they come to a clearing. Well, a clearing is a bit understated. What she saw before them was absolutely magical.
Before them was a lushly overgrown mountain. An incredible waterfall sprang from it and cascaded down into the clearest lagoon she could ever imagine. She was sure this is the spot which lined the walls of every travel agency who provided Paradise as a vacation package.
She ran ahead of him not caring if she fell again or not. Reaching the middle of what can only be called as a huge bed of green leave and every color you can imagine in all the flowers, she spread her arms and spun in circles. Laughter erupted from her as she fell over and seemed to float on the soft grass. Laying there looking up to the clear sky he stood over her. His siloette of the sun made him even more handsome.
"How did you find this place!" she exclaimed and pulled him down to her.
"A porter at the hotel game me the directions. When he told me about this little piece of heaven I knew I had to bring you here."
"oh, it's absolutely perfect!" she squealed and jumped to her feet taking off towards the lagoon. When she came to the waters edge she looked around, looked back and saw him slowly walking over. She giggled and started ripping off her clothes.
"Last one in's a rotten egg!!" She dives into the warm water naked
He runs the rest of the way to the lagoon ripping his clothes off and flinging them as he goes. Diving into the water he searches for her deep below. The clear water has no shadows and he can easily see her swimming away from him. He gives one last quick kick and grabs her legs and pulls her to him. The surface together in each others arms and kiss with such energy it leaves them breathless. She wraps her legs around him as he swims backwards. The reach the bank of the lagoon and make love in the water. The exquisite feeling of floating on the surface and through their ecstasy was overwhelming.
Spent and feeling ravenous, they build a small fire and prepare supper.
"I think you should make a spear and catch us some fish for supper nature boy" she says jokingly "Thats how they did it in Blue lagoon."
He laughs "Well in Blue Lagoon she also had a baby. Are you gonna to that?"
Now it's her time to laugh "Touche! I will be having babies soon enough. This weekend it's not on my calendar so you'll have to waite I'm afraid."
As always, they bantered back and forth while they ate and watched the sun set. The glows of the nights rebirth was absolutely breathtaking. Their conversations were always so filled with energy it's amazing they ever found the energy to do anything else.
He comes to her and leads her out to the middle of the clearing. Gently he lowers her down to the soft grass. Laying on their backs they watch the stars glow brighter and brighter and the night sky go from the most perfect shade of indigo to the darkest of deep black.
"Oh!" she exclaims as she points to the heavens "Did you see that!?"
"Yes I did, did you make a wish?"
She looks to him "My wish is that we will always be this happy and for ever in love." and places a soft kiss on his lips.
He turns to look up at the stars "They are so close it looks as if you can grab one doesn't it?"
She holds her hand up to the sky and pretends she is gently holding stars in her hand. "Look, they are dancing in my hand."
"Not quite beautiful enough for you my love" and he slips a diamond ring on her finger. "Now, that is more like it. I captured this star just for you."
Her breath catches in her chest as she stares up at the most beautiful diamond she's ever seen. Moving her hand and slowly wiggling her finger, the moon dances off the stone and it really did look like a dancing star. "Oh it's perfect" she breathes "And you are too" she says as she turns to him "I love you. I always will."
"I lo......." his words are cut short by her kiss. He takes her to him and they make love like they never did before. Under the stars, out in the clearing. Proclaiming their love to heaven itself.
His kiss on her cheek brings her back to reality.
"Everything's ready and we're set to go" he says as he reaches to pick up their son "Are you?"
She smiles warmly at the two most important men in her life "Yes, I'm ready. I want to show our son where he was conceived and how beautiful it is there. the most beautiful, perfect spot on earth where you can dance with the stars."
